When you are overweight, you are consuming more calories than you burn.
For example, maybe the activities you do daily only makes use of 1,000 but you are eating 2,000 calories daily.
The remaining 1,000 calories will be stored as fat in your body. And if this continues for many days(cumulative effects) you will find yourself gaining weight.
That is why if you like to get at so much, make sure you are burning them before you eat again the next day.
